Membership is open to anyone aged 12 years and up.
The three membership categories and dues are:
Regular members who have voting rights, can hold office, and can play in
all
tournaments.
$150 per year
Associate members who are members of another lawn
bowling club that is closer to their place of residence than the SDLBC.Associate members can bowl in all club
tournaments except for men’s, women’s, and club singles.$100 per year
Active duty military who may bowl in all club tournaments
and may transfer their membership to another person who is active duty military
in the event of deployment or duty station transfer.$75 per year
Youth members who are at least 12-years-old but less than 21-years-old
and can play in all club tournaments. (Youth members under 18 must be sponsored
by a Regular member over the age of
21.)
$75 per year
Temporary members who join the club on a monthly basis for a cumulative
period of no longer than 4 months in a calendar year. Temporary members can
bowl in all club tournaments except for any singles championship
tournaments.
$20 per month
Club dues are based on a calendar year and are prorated on a monthly basis
beginning in April.
Do the math: The annual fee for a regular membership is less than $15 per month and youth memberships are half that amount.
Definitely a bargain! And those figures include mandatory membership in the
Southwest Division of the U.S. Lawn Bowls Association.
