MEN'S SINGLES FINALISTS DECIDED...
Sixteen men from the SDLBC played 3 games each today to determine who would move on to the round robin finals for the club Men's Singles Championship. Several new members participated and surprised some vets by their skill, offering a "more than adequate showing".
Thanks to all the participants and the many volunteers who helped with set-up, hospitality, game markers, tournament coordination and scoring. There were too many to single out, but your efforts were not unnoticed. THANKS!!!
Here's a picture of the entire field of participants,

and the four finalists......

Eight women club members played today in hopes of winning one of the four finalist slots in the SDLBC 2008 Women's Singles championship. Some surprisingly tough games were played and we congratulate all the players.
Donna Boyle, Lynda Borkum, Melanie Vizenor and Christine Ludwig earned the rights to play in the finals.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this a great day. Especially those who gave their time to act as markers for the players. Those included Jim and Robin Olson, John Nelson, Tom Anderson and Jeannette Exter.
Karen Anderson and Bob Exter watched and encouraged the players between games.
Don't forget the Men's Singles elimination round will be played on Sunday. We expect to see some great bowling from them as well.
